Dr.Meshack Ndirangu has over 17 years of progressive experience providing technical and managerial leadership for health programs in the NGO and public sectors. He has worked with Amref Health Africa in Kenya for the last 10 years where he has successfully led the design and implementation of MHCR/RH, HIV, TB, Malaria, NCD WASH, and Community Health Systems Strengthening programs. He has provided instrumental leadership strengthening the program development function of Amref Health Africa in Kenya, development of successful proposals to diverse donors including USAID, CDC, and the Global Fund, and developing systems for country program management.
Meshack is the Country Director for the Amref Health Africa in Kenya, he previously served as the Deputy Country Director, Amref Health Africa in Kenya since January 2011. He was previously the Programme Manager, Amref’s Maanisha Community Focused Initiatives to Control HIV and AIDS in Kenya (2007-2010) and Project Manager, Busia Child Survival Project (2005 – 2007). He previously worked as District Medical Officer, Turkana District, Kenya (MoH) and Medical officer, Lopiding Hospital (ICRC).
Meshack holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) – [Epidemiology & Disease Control], Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB). He holds a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching from UK Academy of Executive Coaching. He is also a graduate of Amref Health Africa Leadership and Development Programme (LDP now GEMBA).
